One of the most unique honey varieties coming out of Western Australia is the increasingly popular Jarrah honey.  Active Jarrah honey is highly regarded for its total antibacterial propertieslike Manuka honey.

Jarrah honey is produced by bees collecting nectar from flowers of the Jarrah tree (eucalyptus marginata) which is only found in Western Australia. This honey is acclaimed for its unique taste and healing properties. The honey is dark and thick with a smooth caramel taste.

Jarrah honey has an extremely high microbial activity when compared with other leading honeys.This makes Jarrah natures alternative to antibiotics. Jarrah is used on wounds to clean infections and as a result is known in Western Australia as the world’s ‘Healing Honey’. When lightly applied to sun burns, Jarrah has been proven to relieve pain and quicken the recovery process. Hydrogen Peroxide as Active Compound

Unlike Manuka honey which is very popular in New Zealand,Jarrah honey contains hydrogen peroxide compounds that creates a winning combination of delicious sweetness, antimicrobial effectiveness and an infinite shelf life. This compound, when applied to the face gives a lightening effect.

Low Glycaemic & Low Glucose

Low Glycaemic foods are known to reduce insulin response in the body and improve the blood cholesterol level. This is particularly important as one gets older. Product Orders

Jarrah honey is available in glass jars. The honey is carefully packed to retain its unique properties. The most common size is 500 grams.

Minimum order size is 1000 Kilograms (two thousand 500 gram jars).
